LIVING A LIFE THAT REFLECTS THE LORD

The spiritual health of the church should prioritise our relationship with Jesus, not just our activity or gifting.

We must support each other in love, commit to prayer and sound theology, and be accountable to leaders and peers.

Men must develop a brotherhood dedicated to serving God and each other, being accountable and challenging one another.

This is not a passive life but a fight for justice and supporting those who cannot defend themselves. Forgiveness and accountability are key.

IMPACTING THE COMMUNITY

The community around us is diverse and sometimes seems at odds with the church. The church must find new ways to reach men and support them in ministry, which may include looking beyond the church walls. Jesus showed us the importance of reaching out to the community and we must do the same, being a source of love and consistency. We must reimagine our approach to ministry and strive for excellence, making a positive impact on the world.

FAMILY FOCUSED

Families are the foundation of communities, but they are often neglected in the pursuit of success, with ministry often dividing families. It is important to set family goals and model how families should be. Prayer alone cannot keep families united, so it is vital to work on marriages, recognise our role in the family, and invest in building family bonds. We should be intentional about spending quality time with our families, investing in building precious memories, and supporting others with their families.

EQUIPPING & RELEASING THE NEXT GENERATION

Investing in young people is vital for the legacy and succession planning of any church. Regular check-ins and involvement are necessary to shape and develop them. We must create opportunities for young men to minister and be prepared for them to make mistakes. We need to release them and give them chances to grow into the roles they occupy. By treating young men as equals and moving them from the crèche to the boardroom, we will see the revival we seek. It is not enough to have short-term fixes but to have a long-term plan for investing in the younger generation.
